Volcanoes and Tropical Coasts

Day 1 Saturday

Upon arrival you´ll be picked up at the airport and transferred to the Hotel in San Jose .

Day 2 Sunday

After breakfast transfer to the Irazu Volcano enjoying the amazing views to the Central valley and the impressive crater of the volcano. Then drive down to the south of Cartago to start biking down to the Orosi Valley going through farming land and coffee plantations towards Tapantí Rainforest area. Overnight in Turrialba. Meals: B,L,D

Day 3 Monday

Breakfast and then transfer to the Pacuare River for a world class White Water Rafting trip. Then transfer to Arenal and check in at your hotel. Meals: B,L,D

Day 4 Tuesday

08:00 am. Pick up and transfer to the Arenal Volcano and hike the Lava flow trail in the National Park. Lunch at the Hotel. Afternoon hike to the Fortuna Waterfall where after a short steep walk you can swim at the bottom of the 200 feet high cascade. Optional visit to Hot springs , Overnight in Arenal. Meals: B, L,D

Day 5 Wednesday

08:00 am After breakfast transfer to the North Pacific. While we drive you will enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake Arenal , the largest of Costa Rica . Lunch on route. Check in at the Lodge and hike to the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park to explore the mud pots and transition from the tropical dry forest to the rainforest, natural habitat of monkeys, toucans, coatis, agoutis and other forms of wildlife. Overnight at Hacienda Guachipelín. Meals: B,L,D

Day 6 Thursday

07:30 am After breakfast, you will get ready to take a 15 minutes walk to the Canyon Canopy Tour where you will swing like Tarzan from platform to platform along the canyon of the Río Blanco and will have the option of doing rock climbing and rapeling. Our specialized guides are very professional and will make sure that you have a safe and fun experience. Then prepare your legs to excercise the lower body discovering the hidden Chorreras waterfall, where a crystal color and a blue water river colored by the volcanic activity, meet to form the falls and a natural pool. After this event you will have lunch and the be transferred to the Tamarindo and Flamingo area for overnight. Meals: B,L,D

Day 7 Friday

07:30 am Kayaking tour where you will discover amazing landscapes typical of the Northern Pacific .

Afternoon take a sailing boat to go snorkeling out in the Pacific Ocean , a remote area of lonely beaches. Overnight in the area. Meals: B,L,D

Day 8 Saturday

11:00 am Transfer back to San José . Lunch on route. Meals: B,L.

Day 9 Sunday

Breakfast including. Our representative will gather to you in the hotel in San José for the transfer to the airport.

What to bring?

This is going to be a warm place with the ocasional exception of Irazu Volcano with temperatures ranging between 75 ° F in San José, 90 ° F in Manuel Antonio, 75 ° F in Arenal and 50°F in Irazu Volcano, so bring shorts and T shirts, but just in case bring a light jacket for the nights in Arenal. Swimming suit is necessary, hiking shoes or good snickers and an extra pair of shoes, sandals, suntan lotion, insects repelent (this I recommend just in case), flashlight, a rain coat (it is dry season but who knows what could happen), binoculors, camera and good vibrations to enjoy the beauty of this little peaceful country that we are happy to show you.

Remember there is a departure tax of $26.00 per person.
